King's "Bamboo paper" has come, Bentham & I think it will hardly be worth reading to the Society & certainly not worth publishing. -- It is simply a list of names referred provisionally to genera & subgenera including a vast number which he has never seen at all. You had better therefore proceed with your paper without delay. I think it would hardly be fair to send you this paper, under these circumstances, on the other hand, as our main
